The AATA is a motley collection of sons of Ayrshire, separated by their support for Killie and Ayr, but united in fraternal love for Scotland.
The AATA is an extremely loose collection of casual acquaintances who meet for a pint – or not as the case may be – on the occasion of Scotland games. The rest of the time we wouldn’t be seen dead with each other. The rules of the club (such as it is) are: 1. No rowdyism or pub-singing; 2. None of the typical raucous male bonding you get from other football supporters associations; 3. No camaraderie; 4. No toleration of others who indulge in too much drink or enjoy themselves.
There is an initiation to join the AATA. Get it roon’ ye.
